Partnership Income Tax FAQs
Can't see your question? Ask it when you book and your adviser will cover it.
Ask an adviserDoes the partnership pay the tax?
No. The partnership files a return, but each partner pays Income Tax and National Insurance on their own share.
What was basis period reform?
Since 2024/25, partners and sole traders are taxed on profits arising in the tax year, rather than their accounting year. Transition profits may be spread over several years.
Can you do the partnership return too?
Yes. See our Partnerships service under Business Tax.
Can I book a consultation before becoming a client?
Yes. Your introductory call helps us understand what you need, and we send a fixed-fee quote before any work begins.
